Hi-I'm Mike Leone, LMT.
I graduated from the esteemed Irene’s Myomassology Institute in 2023. After earning my massage therapy license, I continued my education and became certified in Fascia Stretch Therapy Level 2 from the Stretch to Win Institute and in Nuad Bo-Rarn Thai Massage Levels I and II from the International Training Massage School.
My journey into massage therapy began after spending years playing and coaching soccer. While playing at Brown University, I suffered three serious injuries, two of which required surgery. I was fortunate to have amazing doctors and athletic trainers who helped me return to competition and extend my playing career beyond what I thought was possible. As a coach, I noticed a lack of recovery and injury prevention programs in the training regimens of teams and athletes. This inspired me to incorporate healing into my programs, and massage therapy became my answer.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and dog. We enjoy staying active through running, hiking, or strolling around town, but we also appreciate relaxing with a movie or watching Detroit sports. I also love playing and coaching soccer, and I’m still very competitive. Board games are another hobby of mine, and I’m always looking for a new challenge. Continuing education is important to me, and I enjoy learning new techniques and modalities to improve my practice.
My philosophy is to take a holistic approach to addressing problems. I believe in understanding how all tissues are connected through various systems and recognizing that stress and pain can stem from the mind, body, and spirit. In my practice, no two massages are the same—each session is tailored to meet your specific needs that day. Massage is for anybody and any body, and my goal is to help you achieve yours!
